Indigo Milk Cap Mushroom pin-up painting, paired with a pleasing fungus beetle. This artwork was inspired by my love for the natural world and my fascination with the intricate details and beauty of mushrooms and beetles.

I found the pleasing fungus beetle while camping on Mount Gram at Riggs Lake in southern Arizona, and was immediately drawn to its unique appearance and characteristics. Similarly, I discovered the Indigo milk cap mushroom in a thrifted mushroom book, and was intrigued by its edible nature and the fact that it bleeds blue ink when cut.

This painting captures the intricate details and beauty of both the mushroom and beetle, using a delicate watercolor technique that brings out the subtle tones and textures of each subject. The pairing of these two creatures creates a unique and visually striking image that is both beautiful and fascinating.
